Judging Primary


Primary (years 3-6) student exhibits are judged on different criteria to those produced by intermediate and secondary students.

Technology and science exhibits are also judged on different criteria.

Focusing & Planning
- originality/own ideas
- choosing variables/what might change
- fair testing

Finding Information
- methods used
- measurements & observations

Processing & Interpreting
- what was done with the data collected
- drawing conclusions/what did the data tell you

Reporting
- presentation of information
- explaining what you did in your investigation


Problems & Needs
- understanding the problem and needs

Technology Process
- how you went about solving the problem
- planning
- testing your design/solution

Recording
- keeping a record of everything you have done
- all the important steps in the design process

Evaluation
- how well did your solution solve the problem?
- does it work for everyone?
- what will you do with it now?
