The first science fair in New Zealand was held in Auckland in 1959.  The Royal Society, a group of eminent scientists, have been involved since 1960.

In Marlborough the Science Fair has been an annual event for 24 years and is now a partnership of Blenheim Lions, local school teachers, minor community sponsors and our major sponsor Marlborough Lines.
